We will meet at 8:00 am for light refreshments, then hear from Yvonne Dubielak, Executive Director, Toledo GROWs. Toledo GROWs educates the community about the value of local nutritious food. We provide support for 120 community gardens and education for people of all ages about growing and eating healthy food. Our 2.5 acre urban farm, just north of downtown Toledo, is an educational facility where individuals and groups come to learn and volunteer. It is home base for our work and includes chickens, beehives, a greenhouse, hoophouses, and a variety of garden beds.
There will be time for Q&A, and we will conclude by 9:00 am. Please join us - it will be a great way to start your day!
